Notably, he's appeared in the London tour of the critically acclaimed work, Prisoner’s Dilemma.

Apart from the stage, Joel is an avid language learner. He's fluent in English, ASL, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Proficient in Mandarin and enjoying the process of learning Vietnamese and Russian. His dream is to merge his passions of acting, teaching and his love for languages.

Joel is a professor at Borough of Manhattan Community College and Housatonic Community College where he teaches theatre and public speaking. Previously, he's taught young people through the Orlando Shakespeare Festival (Acting/Education Intern), Children’s Stage Adventures (Actor/Educator), Pace University, the James Franco Acting and Film School (Voice and Speech Instructor), and during his time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida, where he earned his MFA.

Drummer talented in recording and performing nearly any style of drumming. For musicals, he played the drums for Striking 12 at the Liberty Theatre Company in Idaho, and Magic Box at The Triad Theater in NYC.
